Using Gmail in business is an interesting idea as long as you know how to make it work. Make sure you have a Gmail app for Mac installed first. The following are steps on how to set up Gmail for business.

Step One

Visit the G Suite’s site and click on the “Get Started” button in the upper right corner. Provide your company name, indicate the required number of corporate accounts and your country, and then click on the “Next” button. On the next step, enter your contact info, after which you will be asked to enter the domain name. Complete the account creation by choosing a strong and secure password.

Step Two

Add all the required email accounts, and then click on “I have added all user email addresses.” You can always go back and add more users later. You will now need to verify ownership of the domain. Provide access to the administrative panel of your hosting to ensure that emails are redirected to Google mail servers correctly. Go back to the G Suite and check the box “I have opened the control panel for my domain.”

Step Three

Finally, you need to set the mail processing (MX) records in the DNS section of the admin panel. After completion, check the option where it asks if you have created MX or not and then check the confirmation box stating that you have created MX.

Click the “Verify domain” and “Set up the email” buttons. Wait for a few moments and you will receive a message from Google telling you that your domain name is verified. You can now successfully use Gmail for business.
