Babygadget: Admittedly this piggy bank might appeal most to those with certain tastes. Some may even find it a little yucky. I think it’s fabulous. Yes, it is a little reminiscent of those fetal pigs we dissected in high school, but that’s why I like it. A pig, it’s still kid-friendly, but it’s not so saccharine and cutsy as the usual fare. I also love the humorous juxtaposition of edgy, electric, blue finish versus innocent porcine form. I don’t know, maybe after years of absolutely adorable kid stuff, I’m actually starting to get a little jaded. If so, apologies for that. Whatever the motivation, I really like this sculpture-cum-piggy bank. You have to admit, it’s certainly a conversation piece!
