German startup ByeBuy offers month-to-month subscriptions for the latest devices and gadgets at a substantially reduced rate compared to the cost of purchasing the items. For example, users can play with the Apple Watch for £40 a month or give a GoPro a trial run for £30 a month. They simply select the device they want to try, and it’s shipped to their doorstep—all without the large investment that usually accompanies such purchases. If they get tired of the device or decide it’s not right for their needs, they can simply send it back rather than trying to find a buyer to take it off their hands.
