Staten Island Advance: Shopping for school supplies has always been serious business, but the climate in our society means that the wrong choices could cost your son or daughter his or her life.
At least that's the belief of concerned Massachusetts dads Mike Pelonzi and Joe Curran, who have introduced a carry-all that comes with bulletproof lining.
"Affordable, lightweight defense for all ages..." is the slogan their company - MJ Safety Solutions - trumpets on its Web site, mychildspack.com.
"I'm a parent and so is Joe and we wanted a way of keeping kids safe at school and this is what we came up with," says Pelonzi.
