Vertech Industries: Snowboarding is easier to learn than skateboarding. On average a skateboarder will need at least six years of practice before attempting to ride a VertRamp with any degree of skill. A snowboarder is able ride a HalfPipe and launch into the air in as little as two.
What's more, skateboarding is not a suitable summer alternative to snowboarding. High flying snowboarding and kick-flipping skateboarding are two completely different disciplines. After two years of snowboarding a rider will be able to perform a 360 grab with five or more feet of air. Whereas after two years of skateboarding a rider will be able to perform an Ollie off a 6 inch curb. The essence of the two sports is entirely different.
As a result, there is a growing population of snowboarders who want to be able to hop on a board and launch 5 or 6 feet into the air as they did all winter, with absolutely no experience on a skateboard.
That product is the Rampboard. The Rampboard is a technological reconstruction of the skateboard that introduces bindings, a suspension, a space-age frame, bi-directional capabilities, and a longer wheelbase. Its environment is a mass-market version of Danny Way’s MegaRamp as well as a variety of other unthinkable wooden launches that exist only in the pages of this manual.
